Bercianos del Real Camino

Bercianos del Real Camino takes its name from settlers who came here from the El Bierzo region of León, and the village is documented from around the middle of the 10^th century. In 966, Bercianos was donated to the Monasterio de San Benito in Sahagún and later developed directly along the Real Camino Francés, the old royal Camino route.
