Alto de San Roque
Just under 1 km after leaving Liñares, Alto de San Roque stands at 1,270 m and is marked by a large bronze statue of a medieval pilgrim leaning into the wind. Created by Galician sculptor José María Acuña and installed in 1993, it reflects the strong winds, snow and exposed conditions often encountered on this part of the Camino.
