Santa María de Neda

The 18^th-century Igrexa de Santa María houses the Cristo da Cadea (Christ of the Chain), a medieval crucifix traditionally associated with England. According to local tradition, it arrived by ship in 1550 and was later chained in place because the image repeatedly tried to return to the sea, giving it its unusual name.
