Redondela is often called 'the town of viaducts', owing to the two 19th century railroad viaducts in town (one serving the Madrid line, and the other the Pontevedra line).
The Camino Portugués por la Costa joins the Camino Portugués Central in Redondela. Whichever route you have been walking until now, expect to be sharing the path with more pilgrims on the rest of your journey to Santiago.
What to see in Redondela
Igrexa de Santiago
Built on the highest point of the old town, this 15th century church features a statue of Santiago Matamoros above the entrance.
